Following a timed schedule will make the service happen when it is supposed to.  While many of the club members are setting up the pavillion area, the outdoor cooking grill staff will set up for Rotary Meals and then for Campers Service.

 

Many tasks have already been completed when we pack the bus and head to the 4H center.

  • Shop for Soda Beer & Wine

  1. Create website notice
  2. Outside Sponsorship
  3. Attendance List
  4. Transportation and Bus food/drink/movies
  5. Menus/Shopping list (note special restrictions)
  6. Setup table for camper eating
  7. Setup buffet table
  8. Drinks and snacks setup
  9. Prepare foods for service and cooking
  10. Outside Grille
  11. Entertainment (arrange and help with prep area and equipment)
  12. Cleanup
  13. Award ceremony (so everyone can participate.

 

 

 

TIMING FOR COOKING

  • 12:30pm-12:50PM  Load all food, cooking supplies and utensiles.
  • 1:00     Leave Olney Meeting site
  • 3:00     Arrive at 4h and set up grills
  • 3:35     Light fire for Rotary cooking
  • 4:00     Ready to cook for Rotary
  • 5:00     Relight for Campers
  • 5:00     Light small grill for heating and non meat
  • 5:00     Ready to reheat pans
  • 5:15     Move reheat to small grill
  • 5:15     Ready to Cook for Campers (both grills)
  • 5:45     Dinner ready to serve
  • 5:45     Dessert Ready to serve
  • 6:30     Finish Cooking
  • 6:30-7  Clean up outside grill area

 

Large Grill-- 

Will be used to cook all meats and for heating and warming of aluminum dishes.

It will require two lightings. 

--One to cook for the Service crew  Vegetables and Meats on same grill for rotary shift

--One for full Camper Cooking (remaining Service Crew charcoal will serve as base) 

 

Small Grill

Will be used to cook campers non meat items and warming area for cooked foods and desserts (yummy peaches)

10 Large Bags of charcoal

2 Cans lighter fluid

Mesquite or Hickory chips (small bag)

FOOD  & MERINADES (SEE SHOPPING LIST)

Cooking utensils

Heavy Duty aluminum foil

Water sprinkle jars/cans (empty water bottles with hole in top)

Hot pad gloves 

Large Aluminum Pans/Trays for cooked burgers and dogs
